Privacy Policy

Through The Trees Technology, a division of The Christmas Collective LLC ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data Shoebox Plus Organizer (the "Software") does and does not collect.

1. What the Extension Does Not Collect

The Software runs entirely inside your browser on the Ancestry Shoebox page. It does not transmit, store, or share any of the following:

  • The names, dates, places, or any content of your Shoebox records.
  • Your Ancestry account credentials, cookies, or session tokens.
  • Your browsing history outside the Shoebox page.

Cached Shoebox records that you choose to load via the "Load all pages" feature are stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. You can clear them at any time from the extension popup.

2. Payment Data

Payments are processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. We do not see or store your full credit card number. We receive only the email address you provide at checkout, along with a payment-status flag, in order to validate your license. See Stripe's privacy policy and ExtensionPay's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

3. License Email

Your purchase email is stored by ExtensionPay and is used only to verify that your license is active when the extension queries license status. We do not send marketing email and do not share your email with third parties.

4. Waitlist & Website

  • This marketing website does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
  • Waitlist emails are stored in Lovable Cloud and sent via Lovable Emails; email support@shoeboxplusorganizer.com to delete your email at any time.

5. Permissions

  • Host permissions for ancestry.* domains: required to inject the organizer UI on the Shoebox page and to fetch additional same-origin Shoebox pages for the all-pages loader.
  • Storage: used to cache loaded Shoebox records on your device and to remember UI preferences.
  • Tabs: used to detect whether the active tab is on the Shoebox so the popup can show the correct status.
  • extensionpay.com: used solely to check license status and open the checkout / login pages.

6. Children

The Software is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
